The Learning Lodge
  About the Director

I graduated from Lindenwood University with a degree in Elementary Education and had taught in both private and public schools before deciding to stay at home with my 3 children. It was there that I started my own in-home day care for family and friends which years later turned into managing a local childcare facility.

Recently my brother-in-law came to me with the idea of starting our own daycare and it has been an exciting adventure ever since. It is essential to me to keep each family as comfortable as possible in leaving their most precious gifts with us. The most important thing that I want you to know about me is that I am passionate about what I am doing. I am enthusiastic about providing extraordinary care that exemplifies the love, concern and respect that I have for all of the children that stay with us. This is not my business. This is my extended family.

Educational Philosophy

Our staff views the learner as a whole child, striving to meet their intellectual, emotional, social and physical needs. Our teachers are committed to providing care and education in a safe and loving environment.  We teach with creative teaching techniques, varied learning opportunities and the use of technology.  Parents and teachers work hand in hand to prepare our students to be life-long learners and to apply their knowledge and skills in meeting life’s challenges.
